“ring out the news the Jesus came to take our sins away”

Dear Praying Friend,  greetings from Cork.

Thank you for standing with us through another year as we have sought to make known the wonderful Gospel of God to children in Cork.  Through the faithful support of God’s people we have been able to carry on our ministries here, and we have seen God blessing in our work, in our Church, and in the provision for all our needs.

A highlight in the work during the year was the Camp ministry.   Although a busy and demanding time for the four weeks, the Lord worked in the hearts and lives of many children and drew them to Himself.  I am sure children in the caravan ministry have also come to faith during the year.  Pray that they will be established in their faith and be able and willing to openly proclaim their faith at home and in school.   In the caravan ministry this winter there have only been a few days that I have not had someone out with me to assist me!  Praise the Lord!   The fortnightly cycle into 40 areas has been going well.

It’s almost time again for my annual visit  to the north for deputation.  Thank you to all who have helped to arrange and plan meetings for me during January. You will find the itinerary for the adult meetings below [it does not include the children’s  meetings and schools etc that are also on the schedule.]  Pray for  good health and safety in order to be able to complete the deputation meetings.

John spent over a week in Hospital in October having chest pains checked out.  He is in good health again and his heart  has been given the all clear for the present.  All our family are in good physical health and we expect to have them all visit “home” at or near Christmas time.  Ruth has a new job lined up nearer to her home in Kent, England.  She commences it at the beginning of the new year.  Our three grandchildren are doing well.  The youngest, Ethan, is now running around and enjoying all the attention he gets!

We want to wish you and your loved ones a very happy and peaceful Christmas, and a blessed New Year for 2003, in God’s will.  We greatly appreciate your fellowship in the Gospel, and perhaps will have the opportunity to meet you at some meeting during deputation.  Please make yourself known as it is so easy for us to miss recognising people in the sea of faces at the various meetings.

Yours to reach children for Christ,
