Dear David and friends at Dundonald,

It is hard to believe that it is more than three months since we visited with you,  time passes so quickly.

When we returned to Brasil Joe had to go to the heart specialist as he was having some problems.  After a number of tests and seeing another specialist in Curitiba the diagnoses was arrhythmia.  He is now on treatment which is very successful and later this month he has an appointment to see his Doctor here in Jaraguá with the possibility of reducing his medication.

The work in Jaraguá continues to be an up-hill struggle, but we are thankful to the Lord for the encouragements.
Sunday evening Ingrid came along to the evening service.  Ingrid made a decision for Christ a number of years ago while living in Săo Paulo. Since moving to Jaraguá, some time ago to look after her Mother, she has not been attending church, in fact she told us that she was disillusioned with church. Monday afternoon we visited with Ingrid and her mother Erica in their home and they told us that both of them would like to attend the church and have requested that the Kombi collect them on Thursday evening for the Bible study.

Continue to pray for the contacts which have been made through the Pioneiros.  We have made friends with a number of the parents of the Pioneiros which we Praise the Lord for but we long to see them coming to Christ.

Some special prayer requests:

Máre and her family. [You will read about Máre in our Prayer letter]
2nd Couples retreat on November 15th
Christmas program preparations
More drivers for the Kombi. [At present we have only 2 Volmir & Joe. We plan a short furlough next year (March - July) that will leave only Volmir]
Pr. Deny and his wife
Spiritual growth amongst the members.
Someone to live in the Mission House in Jaraguá while we are on furlough.
Somewhere to live and a vehicle while we are in Ireland.

Thank you so much for your continued support for us as we service the Master here.

In Him

Joe & Evelyn

Gary our son in law, is recovering well from his operation. Thank you for praying.

We will be engaged in some follow up visits to the homes of the new members who have recently joined the Poinerios. Please pray for these visits, that we may be well accepted.

A second retreat is planned in November. Pray that those who attend will meet the Saviour of sinners.
