We want to help in the great commission given by our Lord Jesus Christ to go into the whole world and make disciples of every nation baptising them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

To this end, we support several missionaries and missionary organisations. Some of the missionaries went out from our church and are now serving in different parts of the world.

Richard and Terece Dilworth

Richard and Terece Dilworth

Richard and Terece Dilworth are currently working in St Pierre D’Albigny with a small church in Bourgneuf, France. Their desire is to reach out into the Massif de Bauges where there are over 60 small towns and villages with no evangelical witness. They serve with UFM Worldwide.

Joe and Evelyn McCartney

Joe & Evelyn worked in Brazil in a church planting role for over 41 years. Joe died suddenly on 13th October 2014. Evelyn continues to serve in Brazil in 121 bible studies, Sunday School and evangelism.

They worked in a place called Jaraguá do Sul, Santa Catarina, Brazil where Evelyn still is located. In one church they set up Campaigners which is a uniformed youth organisation and is called Pioneros in Brazil. It has been very successful and several other churches have been enquiring about setting up a similar organisation in their church. They were involved in a building project to erect a new church as the fellowship had outgrown their existing building. An Operation Centurion work team from Dundonald went out to assist with this.

There is now a second small group of believers who are looking to establish a church in the area. They have recently called a Pastor, a missionary from the US and he has been helping the church get established. They now have a building programme that is moving ahead quickly and they are seeing good growth in the church with a real sense of unity and purpose.

Evelyn has completed her final term in Brazil and is now settling in NI with her family and seeking opportunities to serve.

Roy and Ruth Harrison

Roy and Ruth Harrison

Roy and Ruth work in Switzerland with CEF which stands for Child Evangelism Fellowship. Roy is the European director and helps coordinate the work of CEF in Europe. This has been very exciting over the last decade as the Berlin wall came down and new frontiers opened up for ministry in new countries like Kirkistan, Turkishstan etc.

They have three daughters all married and one son Paul who is a teacher.

Baptist Missions

Baptist Missions is the Missionary Department of the Association of Baptist Churches in Ireland. It enables the Baptist Churches to provide workers for different parts of the world in a way which no one Baptist Church could on its own. It relies solely on the support of the members of the Baptist Churches in Ireland for its financial support.

Currently, there are missionaries in Ireland, France, Spain and Peru. Mission Line is a weekly prayer update of the needs and points for praise of our Missionaries.
